Gabby Petito
If you don't know what is going on this is for you.
This post is going to be about :
The devastating case of Gabby Petito.
Thousands of people have reported missing people cases over the years in the United States. But this case in specific tended to attract the public much more, it has caused multiple people to take action; this is the case of Gabrielle Petito.
This devastating case started in July, Gabby Petito who was 22 at the time, went to New York on a cross-country road trip; she went on this trip with her fiancé, Brian Laundrie, who is 23. The pair documented their adventure out west in a white Ford van (there were images and videos present on youtube) Mr. Laundrie ended up coming home alone. He stayed at his parent's home; 10 days later Gabbys' parents reported her missing. When the officers went to Brian's parents' home they found that Brian had fled. Gabby was last seen on August 24th and her body was found on September 11th, 2021, at Bridger Teton National Forest.
Gabby was one who put her whole life on social media, she posted videos and pictures of her glamorous life, never letting anyone know what happened in reality. Gabby and Brian online had the ideal relationship everyone wanted, until we figured out what happened behind the screen. Around mid-August is when the truth of their relationship came to view. A caller noticed abuse and instantly called the police, in the beginning, they had no clue that this was Gabby and Brian but they soon linked it together; here is a part of their call :
Caller: "Hi, I am calling ... to report a domestic abuse. They just drove off."
Dispatcher: "What were they doing?"
Caller: "Ah, we drove by and the gentleman was slapping the girl."
Dispatcher: "He was slapping her?"
Caller: "Yes, and then we stopped. They ran up and down the sidewalk. He proceeded to hit her, hopped in the car and they drove off"
After this, the police were on petrol and they found them, one of the officers was wearing a camera on his suit to film what was going on. When they saw Gabby she was crying and hyperventilating but she never talked bad about Brian, whereas when Brian was getting questioned he was calm and blaming Gabby and was showing clear identifications of manipulation. They ended up checking Brian for signs of abuse, he ended up having some and the officers stated it was Brian getting abused not Gabby.
Laura Richards who was one of the people working on Gabby's case knew that it was not Brian who was the victim. She had stated as some of the red flags she saw were "when the police pull the van over, he sees Gabby very distressed... Why was she so distressed? The fact that she takes responsibility immediately her disposition and demeanor of almost walking on eggshells, not wanting him to get in trouble are red flags to me." and "Why is he so calm, he's apologetic to the police, he's trying to defuse the situation when the police eventually speak to him about what happened, but he instantly puts the blame on her."
This murder could have been prevented if the officers noticed the same red flags as Laura did, but they didn't, and they were a third-class country they couldn't. Without realizing they let a murder go. We have no complete point that Brian did complete this murder because he has not been questioned but he is the main suspect from the evidence provided. But her autopsy has stated that her body "had visible signs of trauma from the attack."
The parents of Brian were also the last ones seen with Brian, they are being uncooperative, they are not helping the officers, they may just be the last people who could give closure to this entire case but they choose to stay silent. The parents have only stated that he went hiking in the Carlton Reserve, but during this time it is very wet and flooded there is no way that he went there, and when he didn't come back after 24 hours that his parents were not concerned; they must know what happened that night but they are unwilling to speak up. This creates the question that has anyone ever seen him since September first?
My prayers are with Gabby's family and friends I pray that she gets her justice. Stay safe and always keep an eye out for red flags.
